MineMaps is an independent fan-made game. NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.
Street View imagery and map data are provided by Google and remain the property of Google and its data providers. MineMaps is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
The game code, block textures and sounds of MineMaps are original works generated by the game itself.
Explorer Pass
The Explorer Pass is an optional digital pass sold by the publisher for $2.99 for 30 days or $1.99 for 2 weeks (VAT not applicable, art. 293 B du CGI). While active, it gives unlimited Street View worlds under a fair use limit of 50 per day, access when the free servers are full, a gold skin and a star next to the player name. Buying it again extends it. Cosmetic skins (Creeper, Astronaut, Diamond) are sold for $0.99 each; they are permanent, purely visual and tied to your MineMaps code, which you can enter on any device. Payments are processed by Stripe; MineMaps never sees your card details.
The pass is delivered immediately after payment. By paying, you ask for immediate access and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal (article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code). If the pass does not work, write to nicolasage38@orange.fr with your pass code and you will be refunded.
The pass is linked to a code (MM-XXXX-XXXX) shown after payment. Keep it: it is the only way to use the pass on another device. Players under 18 need a parent's permission to buy it.
Privacy policy
MineMaps has no accounts and sets no tracking cookies of its own. Here is all the data involved when you play:
- Address you type: sent to Google Maps Platform to find the place and load Street View, and in rare cases to OpenStreetMap Nominatim as a fallback. To avoid paying Google twice for popular places, the address text and the place it points to are kept for 30 days in a shared memory of searched places, without any link to you or your device. See the Google Privacy Policy and the OSMF Privacy Policy.
- Settings and last location: saved only in your own browser (local storage). They never leave your device and you can erase them by clearing your browser data.
- Shared World: the blocks you place or break are stored on our server (Upstash, through Vercel) so other players can see them. While you play, your player name, skin and in-game position are sent live to other players in the same area. They are not stored.
- Player list: while you play, your player name, skin and an approximate location (neighbourhood or city) are shown to other players in the player list (Tab key), so they can join you. This entry is deleted automatically about 45 seconds after you stop playing.
- Audience statistics: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views anonymously, without cookies and without identifying you.
- Advertising: MineMaps uses Google AdSense to show optional rewarded ads (watch an ad to get an extra free world). Google and its partners may use cookies to show and measure ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a consent message managed by Google asks for your choice first; you can change it at any time with the "Cookies" link at the bottom of the game page. See how Google uses data in ads.
- "Notify me" email: if you leave your email when the servers are full, we store it only to tell you when you can play again, and never share or sell it. Ask for its deletion at any time by writing to the email above.
- Explorer Pass: payment is handled by Stripe under the Stripe Privacy Policy. We only store your code, its expiry date and the skins you bought.
- Donations: handled entirely by Ko-fi on its own website, under the Ko-fi Privacy Policy. MineMaps never sees your payment details.
Under the GDPR you can ask any question about your data, or exercise your rights, by writing to nicolasage38@orange.fr. You can also file a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Liability
MineMaps is provided free of charge, as is. Everything you build or destroy only exists inside the game: nothing changes in the real world or on Google Maps.
