Part 1: Terms of Use

In these terms, "we" means the publisher and "you" means any person who uses the game.
2. Accepting these terms
By playing MineMaps you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the game. Players under 15 should play with a parent's agreement, and players under 18 need a parent's permission to buy anything.
3. What MineMaps is
MineMaps is a free browser game, inspired by Minecraft, played on top of Google Street View imagery. It is an independent fan game: NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT, NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT, and not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
Everything you build, break or blow up exists only inside the game. Nothing changes in the real world or on Google Maps.
4. Free access and limits
The game is free. Because every Street View world is billed to us by Google, free play is limited: currently 5 worlds per player per day, plus a global daily and monthly limit for all players. Sharing the game can give extra free worlds. These limits can change at any time, and when the global limit is reached the game may be unavailable until it resets.
5. Google Maps and Street View
The game uses Google Maps Platform. By using MineMaps you also agree to the Google Maps / Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Imagery belongs to Google and its providers; you may not copy or extract it through the game.
6. The Shared World and fair play
All players play in one Shared World: what you build or break can be seen by everyone, and other players can change or remove it. While you play, your player name, skin, position in the game and an approximate location (neighbourhood or city) are visible to other players, including in the player list. You agree not to:
- use a player name, build or message that is hateful, sexual, violent, harassing, illegal or that reveals someone's personal information;
- build insulting or offensive messages or symbols in front of real places;
- use bots, scripts or any automated means, try to get around the free limits, or disrupt the servers;
- impersonate the publisher or another player.
We may rename players, remove builds, reset part or all of the Shared World, or block access to anyone who breaks these rules, without notice. Builds are kept on a best-effort basis and can be lost or reset at any time; nothing in the Shared World is guaranteed to last.
7. Availability
The game is provided as is, free of charge, without any guarantee of availability. It can be interrupted, changed or stopped at any time, in particular if Google Street View or another provider becomes unavailable.
8. Intellectual property
The code, textures, sounds and texts of MineMaps belong to the publisher. You may share screenshots and videos of your games, including on social networks and in monetized videos. You may not copy or reuse the game itself. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB; Google, Google Maps and Street View are trademarks of Google LLC.
9. Liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect damage, for the content created by other players, or for the content of Google imagery. Play safely: do not play while walking or driving.
10. Personal data
How your data is used is explained in our privacy policy.
11. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms; the version online when you play applies. These terms are governed by French law. For any question or complaint, write to nicolasage38@orange.fr. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection given by the law of the country where you live.
Part 2: Terms of Sale
1. Seller
The seller is Nicolas Sage, Entrepreneur individuel, SIRET 952 243 111 00012, 5 impasse des Papillons, 38500 Voiron, France, nicolasage38@orange.fr. These Terms of Sale apply to every purchase made on MineMaps, together with the Terms of Use above.
2. What you can buy
- Explorer Pass, 2 weeks: $1.99.
- Explorer Pass, 30 days: $2.99.
- Skins Creeper, Astronaut and Diamond: $0.99 each.
While it is active, the Explorer Pass gives unlimited Street View worlds under a fair use limit of 50 worlds per day (instead of 5 for free play), access to the game when free play is full, a gold skin and a star next to your name. The fair use limit keeps the game affordable for everyone. Skins are cosmetic only and give no advantage.
The pass and skins are digital content tied to a code in the form MM-XXXX-XXXX, shown after payment. This code is the only way to use your purchases, including on another device: keep it safe and do not share it.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars, all taxes included. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code. Your bank may charge currency conversion fees. Payment is made once, by card or another method offered by Stripe, our payment provider. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. We never see or store your card details.
4. Order and delivery
You order by choosing an item in the game and paying on the secure Stripe page. Your purchase is activated on your code within a few seconds after payment, and Stripe can send you a receipt by email. Buying a pass while one is active adds the new duration to the current one.
5. Right of withdrawal
The pass and skins are digital content supplied immediately. By paying, you ask for immediate supply and expressly acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the content is delivered (article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code).
6. If something does not work
You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content (articles L224-25-1 and following of the French Consumer Code). If your pass or skin does not work, write to nicolasage38@orange.fr with your code: we will fix it or refund you. A pass can be temporarily unusable when Google Street View is unavailable; if this lasts more than 48 hours, the missing days are added to your pass on request.
If MineMaps closes for good, active passes are refunded for the unused days. Skins remain usable for as long as the game exists.
7. Misuse
A code used by many people, shared publicly or used to get around the limits can be suspended. A code obtained by fraud or through a payment that is later reversed is cancelled.
8. Complaints and disputes
Please contact us first at nicolasage38@orange.fr; we answer within 7 days. If you are a consumer and no solution is found, you can use a consumer mediator free of charge (articles L611-1 and following of the French Consumer Code); the mediator's contact details are sent on request. These terms are governed by French law, without taking away the protection of the law of the country where you live.
