Minecraft on the International Space Station
Low Earth orbit
Play Minecraft inside the International Space Station, in the real Street View imagery taken by astronauts in orbit.
Play hereAbout the International Space Station
The International Space Station orbits the Earth at around 400 kilometers of altitude, at about 28,000 km/h. It goes around the planet roughly sixteen times a day, so the astronauts on board see about sixteen sunrises and sunsets every day.
The station is a joint project of the space agencies of the United States, Russia, Europe, Japan and Canada, and has been continuously crewed since 2000. In 2017, astronauts captured Street View imagery inside the station, including the Cupola, a dome with seven windows facing the Earth.
Playing on the International Space Station in MineMaps
This is the strangest world in MineMaps. You spawn inside the real imagery of the station, the ground is made of hull blocks instead of dirt, and there are no mobs at all: only you, the modules and the Earth outside the windows.
Everything you build or destroy stays inside the game. If you turn on the Shared World, other players who visit the International Space Station will see your blocks too, and you can send them a link to come and build with you.
Ideas to try
- Build your own extra module with hull blocks.
- Make a small greenhouse and plant grass in orbit.
- Build a sleeping pod like the ones astronauts use.
- Invite friends and build a space base together.
