About Piccadilly Circus

Piccadilly Circus is a road junction in the West End of London, built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with Piccadilly. "Circus" comes from the Latin word for circle, a name given to round open spaces at street junctions.

It is famous for its giant illuminated advertising screens, which have lit up the corner since the early twentieth century, and for the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain topped by a winged statue, often called Eros. It is one of the busiest meeting points of London, close to theatres, shops and Soho.

Playing in Piccadilly Circus in MineMaps

MineMaps puts you in the middle of the junction under the big screens. London has its own set of city mobs, and the red buses and black cabs of the real photo stay frozen around you while you build.

Everything you build or destroy stays inside the game. If you turn on the Shared World, other players who visit Piccadilly Circus will see your blocks too, and you can send them a link to come and build with you.
